Labels origin point or starting location are editable using Pivot Points.

Currently the label fixes itself to the centroid of the object/sub-object and can't be moved.
If the object is a little obtuse in it's geometry, the label may not even be left touching the object it's labelling.
Also for combined meshes, it is impossible to label multiple parts of the mesh as the both refferance the same centroid.
