We've made many performance improvements to the JigSpace app for creators and new users to ensure a faster experience.
Faster performance
We've made speed improvements across a range of areas in our core creator tools:
- Your list of Jigs in My Jigs and Team Jigs load much faster. Up to 10X faster for large libraries.
- Free object library loads faster.
- 3D asset pipeline processes up to 30 seconds faster for typical CAD files.
- Loading and saving Jigs in the JigSpace native app is noticeably faster.
Snap to floor
With snap to floor, you can now place any object directly on the ground with a single click or keyboard shortcut. This is a very common workflow when editing Jigs to appear in augmented reality or immersive spatial modes in Apple Vision Pro.
EU Data Residency
Enterprise customers who opt for EU Data Residency can now log in and edit their own content in the latest version of JigSpace apps.
Offline mode on desktop apps
If you are a desktop app user on Windows and Mac you can now save your Jigs for offline viewing, for when WIFI is unavailable or your have a poor connection.
To save a Jig for offline viewing:
- Go to My Jigs or Team Jigs
- Click on any Jig to show the hero panel
- Click ... menu in the top right corner
- Toggle on "Available offline".
Other improvements and bug fixes
- Scaling objects with the toolbar gizmo has been improved
- Improvements to caching
- Sometimes labels always showed when they should not
- Gizmo scaling when in orthographic view
- Improvements to multi-user-editing
