We’ve made one of the biggest enhancements to content creation this year, with a new materials and textures panel in the Windows and macOS desktop app to enable more custom fine tuning of your 3D models to look even more realistic.

Set precise color and transparency
Apply exact product colors with HEX color input to ensure 3D models are consistent across their product family and match brand style guides. Use the % transparency input to hide a model from the viewer on a step, or to create semi transparent views to show internal parts of a product.

Fully customize your materials
Fine tune your material’s roughness, metalness, emission, and more. Modify the Jigspace materials to meet your needs, or go deeper with your own custom textures. Upload diffuse, normal, and RMA maps, then set the roughness and metalness to reveal the right level of detail to look realistic in augmented reality or a 3D viewer. You can also add emission to models like backlit screens or LED lights to add brightness and a sense of internal light.

Create animated flow-effects
Our flow effect shapes are incredibly popular to bring CAD to life and similar air or liquid flow through products. Now you can add a flow effect shape to your 3D presentation, and edit the speed and direction of the flow-effects to meet your needs. You can also upload your own flow-effect textures to animate with our flow-shader based material, then customize its the speed and direction.> Learn more about customizing animated flow shader effects
